Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial and accounting operations through robust systems, procedures, and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and federal regulations; support successful audits
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis aligned with organizational goals
- Prepare monthly financial statements and oversee year-end closing procedures
- Manage cash flow, contracts, billing, and fund management processes
- Partner with senior leadership to develop budgets, cost plans, and revenue forecasts
- Mentor and supervise the finance team to foster a positive and productive workplace
- Develop and implement purchasing policies, credit card procedures, and fleet management strategies
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
- 5-7 years of experience in healthcare, human services, or professional services sectors
- Proficiency with accounting systems (preferably Dynamics SL), excellent at Excel, and report writing tools
- Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting, GAAP, A-133 compliance, and cost accounting
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership in team management and process improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with government contracting processes and cost reporting is highly desirable
Physical & Work Environment:
- Primarily sedentary work at a desk with some walking and standing
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Occasionally lift or carry items weighing up to 10 lbs; handle short deadlines and periods of high stress
