Join Our Healthcare Team as a Full-Time Residential Nurse

Are you a caring and dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for helping individuals overcome substance use and mental health challenges? We are seeking a full-time Residential Nurse to provide essential medical support in a compassionate, community-focused setting.

About the Role

This position involves working in a supportive residential environment for adult men with significant substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health needs. The Nurse will play a vital role in promoting stability, health, and recovery for clients through personalized medical care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Work Schedule

  • 32 hours per week
  • Tuesday to Friday: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate medical, psychiatric, and medication treatments, including Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and psychopharmacology.
  • Monitor client health and well-being, ensuring safety and stability.
  • Collaborate with physicians, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Screen new referrals and conduct health assessments upon client intake.
  • Support non-medical staff by offering medical guidance and education.
  • Occasionally serve as on-call backup for urgent medical needs.
  • Oversee medication management, including training staff on proper administration.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all medical activities.
  • Promote a compassionate, ethical approach while acting in the best interest of clients.

Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in your state (CT licensure required).
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program preferred.
  • Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing is a plus.
  • At least three years of experience in mental health and addiction services.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
