The Registered Nurse (Rn) provides patient care on a Nursing Unit/Department according to Policies and Procedures. Provides Supervision of Non-Rn Personnel on The Assigned Unit. Provides coordination and follow-up services and management of patients in Cath Lab and Radiology.
- Assesses the patients physical and psychosocial condition through the Continuum of Care.
- Develops, communicates, and documents a plan of care reflecting patient problems and Interventions to achieve desired outcomes
- Implements And Coordinates Plan of Care in Collaboration With The Healthcare Team.
- Plans for education after assessing the individual learning needs the patient and family.
- Functions as a Preceptor to new staff.
- Meets performance expectations as outlined In Performance Review
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Demonstrates competency in caring for patients receiving a variety of complex procedures within a Cath Lab.
- Establishes and maintains IV infusions
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate Of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN Preferred. Proficient in software pertaining to Electronic Patient Records.
Experience:
Two years’ experience in critical care and one year of experience In Invasive Cardiology or Radiology Nursing Preferred. IV Skills Required.
Licensure:
Current State of Connecticut Nursing License
Special Skills:
ACLS, BLS & Pals Required. CCRN preferred.
