Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Coordinate client medical and psychiatric assessments, treatment plans, and medication management
- Serve as a liaison between clinicians, pharmacies, and external healthcare providers to facilitate comprehensive care
- Conduct health histories, evaluations, and emergency medical assessments as needed
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and best practice models
- Provide ongoing medical education and training to staff
- Ensure compliance with licensing, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation of all clinical encounters within required timelines
- Offer on-call support for after-hours and weekend admissions
- Support quality assurance initiatives and monitor positive outcomes within the program
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut Registered Nurse license (RN)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Minimum of 5 years clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in mental health or addiction settings
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology, crisis intervention, and community treatment models
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Commitment to ethical practices, confidentiality (HIPAA), and client-centered care
