Business Analyst Overview
The Enterprise Technology and Experience organization seeks an exceptional and experienced Business Analyst. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance, specifically with in-depth Disability product knowledge. In this role, you will be responsible for soliciting and documenting business requirements, understanding of technical dependencies, and helping to envision creative solutions to both business and technical challenges. Candidate must be team-oriented and possess excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Seasoned individual capable of handling broad scope projects that have long term focus
- Work within both agile and waterfall methodologies
- Leads and facilitates the collaboration between business and technology solutions to ensure alignment across people, process, and technology.
- Decompose high-level business requirements into functional requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail and in appropriate forms suitable for use by the business and technology teams
- Elicit requirements using interviews, business process workflow and analysis, group workshops, storyboards, use cases or user stories scenarios
- Effective communication with ability to translate complex business and technical solutions appropriately to audiences is required.
- Elicit and Document requirements (functional & non-functional) and create use cases
- Analyze and decompose business rules
- Assist other team members with understanding the business requirements
- Operates independently on multiple project tasks
- Leads business analysis across multiple parallel initiatives
